Spring Message from Code Enforcement

As we move into the warmer months, I would like to share a few reminders to all of our residents. I hope all of us find some time to get out and enjoy the warmer fresh air and our community. With the spring season upon us Mother Nature will start to do its part as it relates to the growing season. Please be mindful and be sure to help keep our community clean by maintaining your property. This includes all vegetation, we should take pride in our property and community by keeping it clean and maintained. In addition, I would like to share a few other reminders.

  • Vehicles that are not registered and display current inspection are prohibited from being stored on any public street, or openly stored on private property.
  • Property should be free of trash, rubbish, and open storage.
  • Buildings including main structures, sheds, garages, car ports should be in good repair and structural sound.

The process used by code enforcement to try and address any issues is as follows:

  • One notice pertaining to the issues found is mailed to the property owner, with a window of 10-30 days to address and correct any issues.
  • If no attempts are made within said time frame, a citation will be filled with the local magistrate.

My goal is to not have to issue any citation, and to work with the property owned and our residents to address and correct the issues.
